No more catheter!

All in bold, BECAUSE I'M SO HAPPY!! Honestly, that thing has been the WORST part of my hysterectomy. Yes the pain is bad sometimes, but having that thing.. Ugh.

I had actually gotten a bladder infection from it, so I started antibiotics for that... THEN I wake up today so itchy I would scratch it on tree bark if given the opportunity.. Yep, it gave me a yeast infection

Thankfully though, my procedure went great. Bladder filled up with absolutely no leaks, and I was good to go home from the hospital without that horrible thing.

Just in time to celebrate my youngest sons 3rd birthday tomorrow It's so hard to sit up with a cath in place.. Now I don't have to worry about it and can enjoy his special day with him.

Re: No more catheter!

Congratulations!

I totally get your excitement. I've had a cath since my June 25th surgery. No infections though, that would just be awful. I go tomorrow to have the cath removed and to give it another try.

Re: No more catheter!

Yay! I know how great that feels. I had to have a cath for 10 days post! I was very happy to be able to pee on my own.

Re: No more catheter!

Glad you're hanging there. Having the catheter out is just one more step in your recovery. Good luck!

Re: No more catheter!

Yes it is! I am so happy to move freely. Honestly that catheter has been the worst part of recovery so far. Every day is getting better
