Re: What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com?

I had my Hysterectomy last wednesday, Aug.11th. I found out about this website through the nurse at my Surgeon's office. I am so grateful to all the ladies who answerd questions, gave advice , and wished me well. I don't know how I would have gone through this without all the knowledege I gained here. It is such a wonderful place to learn and get support from ladies who are faced with the same issues. I hope I can give someone the comfort back that everyone here has given me.

Thumbs up - What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com? Re: What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com?

I loved learning that although we got here by different roads,,,we learn from each other that we are pretty much all in the same boat emotionally and mentally. Its great to finally not feel alone on your journey. The relationships we create on here are fantastic...always someone to talk to...and always someone to understand...always someone there for support or a hug. Thank you hystersisters.

Re: What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com?

I really wish I had found this site earlier. I had many questions that , even though the doctor answered them, she didn't answer them honestly. Information I have gotten here would have made me put off the procedure until I felt more comfortable or found another doctor.
The support I have gotten from my sisters has, literally, saved my sanity.
Thank you everyone!

Re: What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com?

My favorite (not sure if I'd call it a feature) is the open hearts of all the women including the hostess'. A lot of the subject matter that I don't want to talk about are ok here. There are so many things that seem gross and/ or embarrassing to even think about. When I don't talk about them it make the fear and anxiety horrible. It has desensitized me to a certain degree. I am more open with my husband about what is going on with me. I do wish I was able to post to post-op women. Thanks for everything!

What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com?

How can you sum it all up? I love it all! It has been my bedside companion since day one....I have a smartphone...which is my only source to the internet....I can take a peek in on those sleepless moments to see if any one else is where I'm at through this...sure enough this has been my help in those times that I feel bad....thanks to all who posts and are behind the scenes putting this all together. God Bless to the Keeper of the Keys!

Re: What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com?

The pre op chat was quite helpful. Although I wish there were more post op discussions scheduled.

Re: What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com?

Hello my sisters!
my favorite part of the Hystersisters site..always having a sister to be completely understanding, giving advice and caring! The post-op forum is the best fit for me right now. I am alone alot of the time with my five year old son because my husband works crazy hours, and things are kind of dramatic right now..everyone has been so great and helpful, I also enjoy helping all my fellow sisters and their experiences..I LOVE MY SISTERS!!!!

Personal support when at low points. Knowing that people are praying for me.

Re: What is your favorite feature of HysterSisters.com?

I did not find this website until months after my surgery, and I wish I had found it much sooner. It is very hard to talk to my family and friends about issues we face. My mom says she doesn't remember going through "the changes", and even if she did, she wouldn't be much support. I feel like I am surrounded by attitudes like "what can you do, deal with it". This is not acceptable to me. There is much that I can do, and I've learned this by being a part of Hyster Sisters. I've also learned that I am not crazy, that it will get better and that it is ok to have days where I just want to rest. My favorite part of Hyster Sisters is the honesty and willingness to share that made these realizations possible for me.
