I went to my Dr for my yearly back in August. I told him of the pain in my right side and back. He ordered an ultrasound. It showed a hemorragic follicular cyst on my right ovary (the size of a lemon), follicular cyst on my left ovary, and a deformity on the anterior wall of my uterus. I also had some calcification on my uterus which they believed was a c-section scar. The hemorragic cyst was shown to have some slight septations. The pain is awful now except for during my period (I no longer cramp at all!) I've heard that some Dr's don't recommend hysterectomy or oopherectomy for such a condition, but if I don't plan to have any more children (I already have 2)and can't afford surgery again (I have no insurance)and since this is my 2nd bout with cysts (the 1st were disolved), I don't see what the problem would be! I can live with the after effects just not with the pain!

Hi

I don't have any personal experience with your situation, but wanted to share that I'm sorry you are in so much pain.

I have a sister-in-law who is dealing with recurrent cysts and I know she suffers with daily pain when they flare up. She was recently put on birth control pills to help regulate her hormones.

A hysterectomy can have many life changing effects and some of the symptoms of menopause may be just as hard to live with as the pain you are experiencing.

It may be very helpful to research your options and try some alternative treatments before making your decision. Getting another opinion may be very helpful.

Here is a link to the resource section that may be very helpful.

You can type the word "cysts" in the search function and it will take you to some articles that may be helpful.

I hope you are able to help find something to ease your pain.
