Massage post op?

I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op and going stir crazy. One of my favorite ways to relax it to go get a Chinese foot massage. It's reflexology and and pressure point and a good back massage. I think I'll be OK lying on my belly for the back massage.

Do you think it's OK. Anyone have a massage this close after surgery?

I had a TVH so all my stitches are internal.

I had a full body massage at 4 weeks, and it was great. I did make sure I could lie on my belly first, though.

I haven't had my reflexologist do my feet yet, only because I'm feeling really good, but I did have a chair message about 2 1/2 weeks after TAH. She was more pressure points than a tissue massage, which was great, she relaxed the muscles in my back from constanting being on the recliner. She was hesitant at first, but saw that I responded well and was extremely gentle. Best to check with your Doctor before time.

I had a much needed chair massage @ 3 1/2 weeks. I felt sooo relaxed afterwards.
