Smoking and fibroid?

:burning: Hi,
I quit smoking about 2 months ago and since my periods are much, much lighter. With a fibroid the size of a grapefruit, I have for some time, had extreme bleeding. I wonder if it was related and maybe I should wait for surgery for a few months. Anyone else noticed a link to fibroids and poisons in the body?
Thanks, Pooder

Try this again. Surely there is someone who has quit and seen improvement.

Smoking and fibroid?

Hi pooder!

A couple of years ago, I did quite a bit of reading about fibroids because that is what was troubling me. While I don't recall reading that smoking cessation could cause a reduction in fibroid size, that doesn't mean it's not true.

You might want to do some reading about fibroids by using our Fibroid Resources section for links to articles and websites on the topic.

Congratulations on quitting smoking! I believe it's one of the most positive moves anyone can make to improve their health.

Many s and Best Wishes,
