Anyone Having Any Of These Problems?

I had my surgery on Dec 18 2012. I am having very bad depression and heart palps. It has gotten so bad since I had the surgery done. I feel so alone and scared. I thought this surgery was going to be for the better. I did keep both ovaries. Could this be hormonal? I been to the doctor and they tell me it is just my anxiety. Also feels like my skin gets very hot in places at times. I dunno what to do anymore. Any advice would mean a lot to me.

Re: Anyone Having Any Of These Problems?

I am so sorry to hear it is going so rough. I would call your Dr to see if it could be hormonal even if you kept your ovaries, our body tends to do what it wants. Sending you a big hug!

It is very scary. I have been having pelvic pain too. They are sending me to Pelvic Floor Therapy. Scared of that too.

Re: Anyone Having Any Of These Problems?

I'm one of those who kept both ovaries and had tons of hormonal problems after surgery. It took me about three months to realize what was going on and see my doctor. I tend not to want to complain. My big problem was depression and mood swings as well as feeling hot. At first Dr. said it was likely the ovaries were just sleeping and would kick back in but after an ultrasound she said that was unlikely. Anyway, I'm glad you have an appointment. Insist on a blood test for hormones - such a simple thing that will resolve the issue definitively either way. I'm now on the patch for 2 weeks and feeling so much better!

Re: Anyone Having Any Of These Problems?

I will remember to ask him to check my blood levels. Ty for the advice. Is there any bad side effects with the patch?

Re: Anyone Having Any Of These Problems?

So far (it's only been 2 weeks) I haven't noticed any negative side effects from the patch. I was a little worried because I have some heart rhythm issues but honestly I feel great. This is all new to me though, so someone else I'm sure has more information about possible side effects.
