TAH Tender belly 2 weeks post hysterectomy and warm

Today is Day 15... Ive felt pretty good. But over weekend I did more walking & standing then planned. mon am I felt great, achey swollen belly that night. I did very min activity Mon. Today I started with some achiness, got slightly worse with activity, which was minimal. Belly less swollen, actually soft , slightly warm, not red. Incision looks ok, still with steristrips , I have lost 4 so far. Today I wore loose pants, then tonight due to achiness decided to try compression underwear. So far, feels a little better. I have a belly roll over my incision, so Im not sure if loose or tight for support? Achiness not bad enough for pain med, using motrin, leave my norco for bed. Suggestions or thoughts? Especially from anyone past 15 day mark. I am a Nurse Practitioner, so I dont think Im dealing with infection, just wondering if others have noticed similar symptoms.... Its hard for me not to be active but ive been mostly in chair x 2 days besides cooking easy meal & doing dishes thats it!

Those are all normal symptoms for where you are in recovery. I wanted to be more active at that point but my body was not happy with my efforts. For many of us, this is still a point in recovery that rest is very much needed.

Thank you, I figured as much, but with warm belly I wanted to make sure I shouldnt call my doc is on vaca and my post op appt is this upcoming Mon. Hoping rest & compression 4 support helps out.

4wks post tomorrow and I my belly is still tender and warm in certain areas. It also aches at times but its usually when I'm doing more than I should. Trying to stick with resting a lot still but its hard.

Nikki81 thanks for info! Ill try to take it easy tomorrow again, I know its a slow recovery!
