Mood swings 2 weeks post op
I am 2 weeks and 1 day post op, and today has been such a hard day. It started out great, and then all of a sudden I caught myself getting short with my husband, and getting upset over every little thing. My house isn't clean which normally wouldn't be that big of a deal, but today it seems like I can't handle it. During my hasty attitude I took it upon myself to clean. Then felt ok after. A little while later the babies diapers needed changed, and it hit me again. An attitude like you would not believe. I was able to keep my ovaries so to me it shouldn't be a problem but it is. What is going on?

Re: Mood swings 2 weeks post op
It can take some time before the ovaries start functioning in a way that those PMS type symptoms are not an issue anymore. It took between three and four months for me to feel like myself again emotionally. Hang in there. It gets so much better.

Re: Mood swings 2 weeks post op
It took my ovaries 3 months to wake-up after surgery.....and they did it slowly. Give yourself time!!!!! It's only been a few weeks. You have been through a lot and you have to let yourself heal. It will get better!!
