Ack! I just passed a chunk of dead fibroid
It's a good inch across and kind of grayish beige and rubbery. No wonder I've been having such cramps. Do you suppose I should call the doctor? I suspect they'll just tell me to hang in there until Friday.

And they said to hang in there unless I really start to hemorrhage or pass a great deal of tissue. In that case I should go to the ER.

The only good fibroid is a dead (and passed or cut out) fibroid! 
Did your doc tell you to keep it and bring it in with you?
Are you gonna keep it in formaldehyde? Or photograph?
