Tell me about mini periods after supracervical hysterectomy

Hi friends -

I think I'm having my first official mini period since my supra cervical abdominal hysterectomy left ovaries almost 5 weeks ago. I'm crampy (how does THAT even happen ?) emotional, boobs hurt a little, need chocolate and pasta. And whiskey.


All day today when I wipe there's a little something on the TP.

I thought I'd be over this nonsense. But alas, it still plagues me. Minus the godawful cramps, gushing, clotting, etc.

Did u keep ur cervix?

Yes.

I have not had a mini-period since my surgery since I have neither a cervix or ovaries. However we do have an article that may help :Mini-periods aftery Hysterectomy.

I had my partial hysterectomy a little more than 1 1/2 year ago, and for quite a while now I experience a monthly light bleed. I checked with Dr and nothing wrong.
I was 37 at the time of my surgery so I look at it as now that at least for the time being eveything is working. I just hope it continues as I would like to avoid premature menopause or at least be able to make a bit into my 40's before it starts so I can put off some of the health risks associated with early menopause.,
