TAH: Scared about depression post op!

I found a menopause site that looked pretty good but it turned out to be a gung-**, all women must use HRT-flogging site. Annoying.

When my Doctor first started mentioning possible hysterectomy I stumbled on the HERS site also. It had me a wreck, I thought I was hopeless, if I didnt' get a hysterctomy I might have ovarian cancer and not know it if I did have one I was going to be an empty shell of a woman who my own family wouldn't be able to stand. Well I am happy to say I am 15 weeks from surgery Tuesday and everything is great and I lost my ovaries and I am not on HRT. I feel just as much of a woman as ever and I feel so good I am enjoying life so much more than before the surgery. My sex drive was a a little slow to come back but even that is back to pre surgery levels now. I had a fear of depression and anxiety after surgery because I have dealt with both before but actually so far since the surgery my anxiety seems to be better and I have no depression except for the blues a couple of times after surgery but I think that is normal. Thankfully, I didn't have cancer but a horrible case of endometriosis. I would warn anyone to stay away from that site I think it is a bad site. I wonder if it has made women that really need the surgery not get it.

Ladies thank you sooooo much! your comments have been instrumental in alleviating my fears, and after a quick discussion with my doctor I am feeling ever so much better! It turns out this tropical system went to the west of my area and the hospital called to confirm my surgery for tomorrow morning!
