pre op was today, now my nerves are getting to me

So now that all forms are signed, and tests are done, my nerves are in high gear. The funny thing is I ain't nerves or scared about myself and the surgery, I am more nervous about my kids and family.....

Just cant help but feel everything is going to fall apart once I am down. Got meals in freezers for two weeks worth of dinners, house is clean, bills are paid, but I know I am forgetting something.....

Seven days to go before my surgery

I felt the same way. I'm so glad I did all the cleaning ahead of time.

I had my meeting with the gyno today and the decision was made. My pre-op is Thursday and my surgery Tues, Sept 4th. I've spent all afternoon making lists of things to get done before then.

I think you have everything covered. Now just sit back and relax. Enjoy spending time with your family and remember, before long things will be better than ever

Having the pre-op really brings it home. I remember when I had my pre-op meeting it hit me hard. I remember thinking "This is really going to happen, isn't it!"

All of these emotions and fears are very normal. This surgery is a big deal. And there is so much to digest.

You sound as if you have it all covered. BUT, even if you don't have something quite right, it does not matter. What is done is done, what is not is not. If it Has to be done post-op, friends or family will see to it. The most important thing during your recovery is for you to rest, rest, and rest some more.

my pre op was today also but my surgery is in the morning at 7:30. Im about to start the dreaded bowel prep. my nerves are really jerking now knowing its 12 hrs away. I will see you on the other side.

Well due to situation hyster has been moved from two weeks away too tomorrow. So surgery tomorrow midday. Now with my bowel prep started I am trying to relax because I feel as though this is the start of the marathon. Funny how I feel similar to the evening before my first race, thoughts a mile a minute, trying to make sure everything has been taken care of but also trying to relish in the fact that tomorrow is the start of a future without lower pain and migraines.
