Swelly-Belly with LAVH?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if there's a difference in Swelly-Belly size depending on which kind of hysterectomy one has?

Good question. I've been wondering the same thing.

OK, I'll bite. I'm day 3 post op from LAVH and have a little tiny bit of what I would call swelly belly. It is not uncomfortable as long as I wear my trusty comfy sweats and I get relief if I lie down for a while. I am really not bothered by it at all and I know it is only temporary. Not a big deal for me.

How are you doing and did you just stay overnight? I am scheduled for LAVH on april 4 and have lots of ?'s. Also if you don't mind how long was your surgery and my doctor has said most people are basically back to normal in about 2 weeks without heavy lifting do you think this is true. I have a mandatory workshop with my daughter who is going to Miss North Carolina Pageant as a teen contestant about 20 days after surgery that is why I am asking. No lifting but some driving and sitting?

Hi there.How are you doing, besides nervous that is? I'm the one on Rt.210 near Four Oaks and like you are still waiting to have my LAVH.Did you get my previous message? I'm still trying to figure out this site,sometimes when I post a new thread it does not seem to appear!? Did you read about that patch that prevents you from throwing up? It's called Transderm Scop and apparently other women just asked their doctors for it before surgery. Hope you're hanging in there Annette.
