four weeks post op and spotting!!

Good day all!
Im new and just had a question. Im four weeks post op and been doing great! Had only a little spotting the day after surgery. Last night I go to the restroom and there is a little blood in the toilet and on the tissue. And today my stomach is huge, bloated, and I feel like Im on a period all over again. Now I normally had a period every two weeks before surgery and this is exactly how my periods would feel. The bleeding isnt very much. I would actualy classify it as a spotting. not even enough for a pad. Usually only happens when I go to restroom. I have been an emotional wreck lately. With the surgery hormones and I was involved in the large tornadoes that destroyed alot of Alabama. So my stress level is at its MAX!! I had total hyst. with removal of uterus and cervix. Anyone think this is my cuff stitches dissolving? Should I be concerned at all? Dr. appt isnt for two more weeks. Any advice?
Thanks

Re: four weeks post op and spotting!!

The spotting doesn't seem as concerning as you feeling that your stomach has bloated suddenly. I think that warrants a call to the doc.

Re: four weeks post op and spotting!!

Havent spotted since this morning early. But feel bloated and cramping a little. Friends tell me that is usually is normal to have menstrual symptoms for the first couple months after surgery. Not sure what is going on but if its no better by tommorrow I will probably call doc.

Re: four weeks post op and spotting!!

Called Doc after hours number last night because blood got heavier. The funny thing is that it only comes out when I urinate, but it isnt at UTI. Explained what happening to doc on call and she says to keep eye on it and if it fills up pantyliner then go to er. However, it doesnt just come out on its own. Only when I am pushing to urinate. Crazy, so how am I supposed to know if it will fill up a pantyliner? Stomach still bloated and cramping. Feels just like my period. Doc says that it is probably my stitches dissolving but this is more than some spotting. Guess if it isnt better by tommorrow I will give doc another call or just go in.
