scared about after surgery ( children mentioned )

Do you have any family or good friends near by?

In March the 6yo should still be in school which will give a little break. I have a 7yo who is "all boy" uggggghhh. I know how you feel. Luckily I had family to come and stay a fw weeks and take care of things. My son was a different child knowing I was not feeling good and being very careful. Now he is back to full speed.

scared about after surgery ( children mentioned )

Hi Jewjew, I'm from the UK too.

When I first got my date I freaked out for a while..I just kept on thinking about all the reason why I couldn't have the surgery..

Work, my children, my cat! I worked through each problem, and people were very supportive. ..and somehow it all came together..

My older sister took a week off work and came and stayed with us when I came back from hospital. I had a TAH, and stayed in for 4 days - they only let me out because I had help at home..She was great, made sure I took my pain killers on time, fed me..etc.

Doesn't say what kind of surgery you're having, it will make a difference to your recovery time.

Have you got friends or family around you? - you don't mention another half..I'm single and felt quite lonely until my girly support system came to the rescue..

Start with the little things - how will you get your son to school, who can help you? Think you need to be brave and ask for help..you'll be surprised how people rally around..
