Does anyone experience this one?

Hi gals,
I am 5 weeks post op LAVH and I am still dizzy!!
It comes on all of a sudden and it feels like I am going to faint. I also have bouts of double vision with this. Am I crazy??? It happened at work today, yikes! I am being very careful at work and sitting down regularly (i am in retail). Wondering if I should be concerned. I feel like such a whiney baby questioning every little symptom, pain and ping. Tell me to suck it up if you think I need to!!!!
Love

Does anyone experience this one?

Hi sister,
I was dizzy for 5-6 weeks too. I dont know why! I went back to work at 7 weeks and I am taking a medication called Ditropan which gives me double vision and makes me sleepy.
Are you taking any new meds? Hormones? Did they take both ovaries?
I think a 5 week recovery makes you a champ healer. As much as I would have liked to return to work earlier my dr knew I wasnt well enough. I stuck to light walks and lots of TV and books for 7 full weeks myself.
Good Luck and Hugs!

and oh,
My dr filled out a note stating I am on "light duty only" so I can sit down all the time and take it easy at work for a few more weeks.

double vision and feeling faint are symptoms of anemia. have you had your blood work done? Were you anemic beefore surgery? Sometimes it takes a while for your red blood cells to be bilt back up.
It is worth checking with your doc on this one.

ps. I'm glad you're the boss and can sit down when you need to and not do all the heavy work.

Does anyone experience this one?

Hi

I have a friend who recently had a hyster and is experiencing the same thing and her gyn has said it is caused due to her anemia she was experiencing prior to surgery. He said it is just her blood supply building up,but he did offer to give her a transfusion which she has declined. Hope this helps but it might be worth having a blood test done just to check your levels anyway.

Take care............Karen
