TAH 10 days post hysterectomy: Abdominal incision - how long to close?

I was just wondering how long dose it take a abdominal incision to close? My c section ripped opened a day after my staples came out so I am very nervous with this one. Do you know how long until it is closed and I don't have to worry about it reopening again?

Im 4 months out from mine. Mine took about a week. Then I had my 9 staples removed. No steri strips. Healed well. But I was very careful and cautious with myself. Took good care of it. Now I make sure I put vit e or coconut oil on it to help the scar. Im in the itching phase. But thats good. All looks good. Best wishes to ya. From a Tx hyst sis

I never had staples, so not sure what it was closed with.
But it never opened up.

After 10 days of staples, the incision was closed up except 1 tiny spot which I had to be careful with.

Mine was covered by a long steri strip for two weeks. My estimate is that it closed in about one week. No staples on mine.

Mine was sealed with dermabond (no staples), it took about 3 weeks to wear off so I guess it's closed now.
