bladder problems and pressure after

I'm 9 days post op robotic assist hysterectomy. When I woke up my bladder wasn't working so they had to recath me over night and all the next day until it started working. Now when I pee I still have some sharp pains and starting yesterday I have some pressure on my vagina. Like something is coming out and its sore. Sorry for being graphic. I'm wondering if anyone else has had these problems? Help!

It could be a UTI. Call your doctor for a test.

Did you get a sling?

I didn't get a sling no and I did call my doc they scheduled me for a uti test on Monday it all just seems a lot after to deal w after this surgery and I didn't understand any of it

I hav UTI now but my cath was contaminated from my ER visit a week after surgery that's why. No big deal antibiotics will fix you right up Make sure to drink drink drink

I had the same problem, I ended up having a bladder infection from the catheter, ended up on two different antibiotics, then got a yeast infection. You should check with your Dr so you can get started on the antibiotic quickly if needed....those **** things hurt and that's the last thing you need during your recovery <3.

If you have a UTI you should not wait until Monday. Do you have an urgent care you can go to?

So here is another question. Are you on and maybe have been on cipro for a bit? I asked docs to give me another antibiotic cause the cipro I was on still from surgery was not touching my UTI. The stuff they have me on now is awesome! Feel soooo much better

What are you on? I'm taking Macrobid, and it is getting worse. I drink and drink, feel like I have to pee and then just a few drops.

I'm not on anything but motrin and I have to wait till Monday because they're not open on weekends and I don't want to go to the er because the er here will make me sit in the waiting room for 3-5 hrs just to get in. I'm making sure I drink lots of liquids right now and hoping that it don't get any worse by Monday if it is a uti. Thank you so much for all ur advice everyone!
