Advice please

Long story short - I had a hysterectomy in Nov 2009 due to Endo. Aug 31, 2010 I had my ovaries and tubes removed due to ovarian cysts and persistent endo. They found endo on my path report on the ovaries so they will not give me HRT at this time - I have to wait a min of 6 months to make sure the endo 'dies' off. I'm 30.

Problem - I have NO sex drive. None, zip. Zelch! I am extremely afraid that this will hinder my relationship. He is a man with needs you know (we have been together for 5 years). How do I get myself back in the grove? What did you ladies do to increase your libido non HRT? I have ZERO interest and shrug him off when he makes any advances.

I'm glad I don't have the physical pain of the endo anymore but I want the closeness back with my boyfriend!

Re: Advice please

I still have my ovaries, so my situation is different than yours, but i do understand your worries and concerns. I would suggest talking to your doctor point blank about this asap.

Re: Advice please

bulrich,

What you are experiencing is common. I had my lavh/bso for stage IV endo and am actually on both estradial and norethindrone. Is your doctor an endometriosis specialist? If not, I would HIGHLY recommend seeking one out.

In regards to not taking HRT, the problem you run in to is that other things (like soy) can actually act just like estrogen in a woman's body. If I was in your shoes, I would find a specialist. However, here is a link to hormone jungle-no hormones. But remember, just because there are ideas there, they may not be suitable for you if they act like estrogen

I hope you find answers.

Re: Advice please

Hi there! I am taking norethindrone but have been told that will do nothing but help with 'some' of the menopause symptoms. Fortunately I do have many side effects of menopause - I did in the very beginning (night sweats) but they have subsided and I just started taking norethindrone 1 day ago.
