Weight Gain Post-Op

I gained 14 pounds after returning home from the hospital and lost it after about a week and a half...then...gained 10 of it back....and now on my way back down...I thind my second weight gain came on after I started hrt and it made me swell, cranky, my bp shot up really high. I am now 2 days off hrt and doing all natural...I have lost 4 pounds in 2 days and I feel 110% better...Vickey

I have gained 4 pounds - I too can not afford to gain weight. I am just so tired and hungry though. I am hoping in the next 2 weeks I can eat right and lose at least those 4 pounds.

Thank you Sisters! Your input has helped me to better understand that we are all unique in our own way. I just hope that I am one of the many lucky ones to lose weight & maintain it after my TAH. If not, that's ok because I will be free from all the issues prior to my TAH, and for that I will be thankful.....

I'm 2 months out - and have maintained. Sure would like to see it start dropping - but thankful it hasn't started going up any.

Just wanted to say to Jane's Daughter - a lot of us came home from the castle weighing more than we went in - all depended on how much fluids were pumped into us during and after surgery. THAT weight gain should drop in your next few days.

A week after surgery, I have lost the 12 pounds. I must assume that this was water weight, but it seems like an awful lot.
Oh, well. It's gone now and that's what matters.
