post op pelvic and hip pain

I had a lot of low vaginal pressure and pain with some v discharge, as well as right hip pain a week post op, also had severe nausea. Went to see my surgeon and he said I had infection where my uterus was removed from the vagina. 6 days into a 10day antibiotic and I still have pressure/pain and the right hip pain is worse, painful to touch even on the hip bone. I also have low back pain which I've never had! If I'm on my feet for any length of time, which I've only tried a couple times, I get weak, light headed, nauseated, feel like my insides are going to fall out(which btw...most of that was removed!). Now, it's only been 2 weeks so maybe all this is normal, I just didn't expect it! Does any of this sound normal??

Re: post op pelvic and hip pain

I am sorry you are going through this. Infections are not normal after the surgery , but often do happen. I did have a vaginal bacterial and yeast infection after. The doctor said everything is moist and harder to heal inside, which makes things susceptible to infections.

You probably will feel sore, tired for some time until all this heals. I found I did not feel healed from this surgery till I went back to work at 6 weeks post op.

Take care of yourself and rest often and try not to overdo.
