pre-op hysterectomy appointment

Had my pre-op firday at 950, didn't get done till 2. I was told 30 min, but they forgot to tell me that I would have to

paper work with nurse
doc and paper work
doc and pelvic
paper work at insuance (even with it all oked beforehand)
ekg
lab work
hospital pre-op meeting with nurse (which took 1 hour), but they told and showed me alot of things which was great.

I will have the bowel prep and take some antibiocts day before. The doc said nothing to eat or drink after 12 midnight, but at the hospital they said I could have clear liquids till I go in.

Now the waitng begins tii the 14th.

Yes, my pre-op was pretty long too. Not bad, just a long day. Lots and lots of questions - it seemed that everybody had to ask the same questions for themselves

The bowel prep isn't fun but can be done.
I'd go with what your dr said about nothing after midnight. I feel that it's best to be cautious. Don't risk complications or postponments
