discharge changing from clear/yellow to brownish

What in the world? I am almost 2 weeks post-LSH and have had a lot of clear/yellowish discharge...but today it is changing to more of a brown/pink color. I thought it was suppose to be yellowish in the end?? Not sure why it would be changing to brown/pinkish now...

I have spent so many months bleeding that this change is really scaring me...makes me feel like I am going to start bleeding again any minute now. I really hope not...I am trying to hold onto hope, but just so scary! There are so many women who report so many things that have gone wrong...so scary! I just didn't know if this type of discharge is normal at all?

Re: discharge changing from clear/yellow to brownish

I am still getting that at 3weeks post op. It goes from yellow brown to pink to clear to pink to brown.. My OB said that was quite typical. Be careful that the pink isn't you overdoing it!

Re: discharge changing from clear/yellow to brownish

Thank you for your reassurance! I appreciate your response. I have lived in such fear from all the bleeding that when it changes to these more 'familiar' colors it really scares me. Fear it is going to be bright red next. Did your OB give you any idea how long it would last?
Thank you!

Re: discharge changing from clear/yellow to brownish

Hey sister...yeah this is pretty normal, however, you should consult with your doctor and have them do a vaginal check...I had the same thing about 3wks post op...for a couple three days...I knew it was normal...but I still went to my doctor to make sure that I didnt tear any stitches on top of my cervix...
But you should take it easy and get bed rest...you could be doing too much too soon. Oh and my doctor told me not to take a bath..showers only...and use a pad to collect this discharge to bring to your doctor...i know its gross...but they need to see these things
Blessings to you my sisters

Re: discharge changing from clear/yellow to brownish

Yea, concur with April. I went in and had it checked last week. She said the stitiches look fine, they are placed where they are supposed tobe and she took a culture to be sure its not an infection but it looks normal. No word on the culture. As for how long it lasts.. I wish I know! I have seen other sisters with this for 10 weeks or so.
