TVH We did it! Sex!

Well, at almost nine weeks out, and ironically, exactly two months to the day of my surgery, hubby and I made love last night! It went great.

I was nervous, of course, but we had lots of foreplay which helped. And I didn't need any lubricant! I was on top and it didn't hurt at all. I even had my first post-op orgasm and it felt great. I will say that after that, it felt a little weird and I almost put a stop to things. It didn't hurt, and it might have just been from having that first orgasm, but it did feel just a bit odd for a couple of minutes.

We ended up missionary and I was a bit more leery of that, but it went well, too. No spotting, cramping or anything. It was a little messier due to things being closed off now! I'd read about some women being sore afterwards. I'm not sore, but I can tell we used some muscles that haven't been used in awhile!

I asked hubby if it felt tighter since the doctor said she'd be taking up any slack. He said "oh yeah!"

Who'd a thunk I'd be a virgin again at my age?!

Mintyme, thanks so much for posting this. You answered all of the questions I have on this subject. I'm 5 weeks Post-Op, was wondering what to possibly expect, especially with every thing "closed off". I hope to have the same, if not better experience.

So glad to hear that everything went well!!! I'm sure it was a relief for both you and your husband and your success story will give hope to those who have not yet taken the plunge!!!

We also "did it" last night, although I am not cleared for sex yet. I am 6 weeks post op, and was told 8 weeks. We were playing around and decided to try it and see if there was any pain. It was fine, but we were careful. I have been aroused alot since surgery, but I think I was so nervous and the fact that we were being so careful made it less enjoyable than usual. I'm sure things will get better over the next month or so. I have to believe that things will be better because I feel so much better than before surgery! Glad to hear that you are back in the swing of things!

Glad to hear it all working good ladies, I am not married and just broke up with boyfriend before I found out about my cancer, but I have an old stand by , I can try things out with, before a real date or boyfriend.
My doctor took part of my vagina so it will be very interesting, who
knows I might make some man dreams come true because maybe I cant
handle large anymore. Sex is very important we all need it , it keeps us young and beautiful.

I am glad to hear this. I will get my release the 24th, and will FiNaLly be doing the deed Friday night. I'm anywhere from 8 - 10 most of the time. I try not to think about it, but I dream about it anyways. Its been a long time coming, and I can't wait. Congrats to you!!

I'm glad to hear that you aren't having any issues after having sex. You are very lucky. Having sex before you are cleared by your can be a very dangerous thing to do. Hopefully no damage was done, but just to be safe, it would be best not to do it again until your doctor has had a chance to examine you to make sure everything has healed properly.

Sex does get better after a few tries, but honestly, good things come to those who wait!
