Nerves

Well sisters - went to pre-op today. I was fine till she started going on about my medical history and the risks and telling me that hormones after my lavh/bso were not recommended unless I wanted another stroke. Then the hospital with all the details I just wanted to scream just do it don't give me every beeping detail. Well nerves have finally set in and with two days to go I have much to much time on my hands. One question I forget to ask was about shaving do they or do I? Anyone know? Thanks so much for the shoulders!

I had a LAVH on June 25th, and I was not shaven. As of today, all is well and I feel great. Relax yourself, I promise you that within a week you will feel marvelous.

Personally I would - even if just to trim it quite short.

If you are having a catheter (which you most likely will) they might want it done and if they end up having to do a TAH rather than a LAVH due to unforseen circumstances they may need you shaved then too - and from past experience the hospital shave leaves a lot to be desired.

They will do any shaving that you need. They did mine after I was asleep. The nerves are normal just try to hang in there Sweetie. God Bless.
