bowell movement

5 days after surg. Finally a bm after2 days of stool soft. exlax and enema. Friday night my stomach cramped for about 2 hours terribly, and then all hick broke lose. I should be as clean as a whistle. I dont know what was worse, the const, or the diarhea. Im fine now. Also yesterday I walked 3 times aroung our sub. 1/4 of a mile each time, all at diff. times of course. I was walking 4 miles or more before surg. It feels so good. Im not walking fast just a nice pace. I listen to my body. Im off pain meds I do have a sex drive also My hubby is happy. Hope all recover well, quick.

Get used to it. It can take a while for the bowels to return to normal. It can be great source of pain and concern. If ever in doubt talk to your dr. My dr. told me as long as the pain was relieved with a bm then there should be nothing for me to worry about. However if it wasn't relieved by a bm then I needed to be seen. Good luck and hang in there. You'll be pooping normally before you know it.
