Nov. 14th Surgery

Who's having surgery that day? Mine is scheduled for 7:30am, having an abdominal hysterectomy, leaving ovaries.

Also, what exactly is a swelly belly, I asked doc today and she just looked at me funny.

It is very real, so I don't know why docs look at you like you have two heads. I had LAVH on May 16th and I still get swelly belly after a 12 hour nursing shift, although it is not nearly what it used to be. I usually just put on my pj's after work and veg on the couch or in front of the computer. I'm back to normal by morning. I did find, for me anyway, that at about 2 weeks, support panties were helpful. I did get different sizes: started with a large, medium support and ended with a medium size, firm support. Now I don't really bother at all.

I am also having my surgery on 11-14. I have to be at the hospital at 6 am. My uterus is only being removed, as of right now... have cyst on my ovary. the dr. thinks it is nothing though. Good luck on your surgery and recovery.
