6 week clearance

Had my 6 week appt today and fortunately she said I am healed and released for all "activities". Unfortunately DH woke up with the flu this morning and it's going to be more of an "achoo" than a "woohoo" night!

Dr wants to see me in 6 months. As for exercise, she said to continue walking and to start doing 5 situps a day for a week, then 10 the next week, etc. No weights for at least 6 more weeks then start with very light ones. She said there is still lots of healing going on internally and not to force it. She said the swelly belly will be around for a while. I have gained 4 pounds since surgery but I have been eating a lot lately. So back to a daily walk on the treadmill at the gym...no more excuses!

I never saw any stitches but she CLAIMS they came out. Oh well. The pelvic exam was not bad but after she removed the speculum she inserted her fingers and moved all around asking does this hurt? Fortunately not but I sure am glad that is over!

sounds like you are healing very well. dont overdue it. go slowly with the workout. congratulations!!!!

So are we supposed to see stitches coming out??? I haven't! And are they pretty obvious? I don't see how I could miss anything coming out of my vagina now that nothing is ever going in or coming out down there!!!
