Taking progestin and always hungry!

I am taking progestin (norethindrone acetate) for a year due to endometriosis and am worried I will gain huge amounts of weight this year! My appetite is crazy and I just want to eat all the time! Anyone else experiencing this?

Re: Taking progestin and always hungry!

I had a Mirena IUD ( progestin) for 18 months prior to the surgery. This was supposed to be localised and low dose, unfortunately my weight increased by 8 kilos during that period and it was very hard to loose weight!

Everyone reacts differently to HRT, hope this is not your case.
