staples question

I had a TAH on November 7th and the staples around my incision removed on the 17th. I was just curious, do those little punctures totally go away, in time? Looks like a darn railroad track on my tummy, lol. :wowee:

staples question

I had my staples out on Nov 22 and my tummy looks the same! lol I did have a c-section back in '98 though and couldn't tell where the staples were. Hopefully these staple marks heal up as well as those did.

staples question

I had a colectomy, with a vertical incision and 30 staples, a year after my hyst. Of course my incision is still quite visible (though not nearly as bad as it was the first year), but the 'dots' on either side from the staples disappeared nicely.

staples question

I'm just over 12 weeks post op and my dots of the railroad track are nearly completely gone. At 6 weeks my doc had me start using Mederma too, it helps take the color out of the scar and some of the ridges...so far so good!

staples question

I am almost one year post op and both my incision and staple marks are healing very nice. Most of the staple marks are gone and parts of my incision are gone.

staples question

I had a 18cm fibroid as well and the same surgery and kept my right ovary. I had the staples taken out 1 week later. I was also wandering if I was always going to have this large scar!

Did you find out how much your fibroid weighed?
Thought you'd be interested to know that mine weighed three pounds.

staples question

my staple marks are pretty much already gone and my incision doesn't look that bad. i think it is going to be much skinnier than my appendectomy scar. of course that was done before, surgical glue, staples etc. i can still faintly see the stitch marks from it. now i joke that with the verical incision i can do x, y graphs.
