Okay, I've HAD it!!

I canceled my appointment with the laser ablation specialist and scheduled an appointment with the surgeon instead.

Seven days after a Depo-Provera shot, and not only have I not stopped bleeding, I passed a clot this morning which was followed by a big blood burst that required me to go back to tampons.

I am DONE. One failed ablation doesn't mean I should wait to have another, I disagree with my regular OB/GYN on this. I hope that by the time I leave my surgeon appointment tomorrow, I'll have a date for my hyster. I'm planning on lap, super-cervical. Keeping my ovaries and my cervix. The surgeon is highly recommended, and I talked to his nurse today who, when I explained what was going on, magically found me an appointment in her book for tomorrow, even though she'd initially said she couldn't see me until June 26th. I can't do this for two more weeks.

Okay, I've HAD it!!

Wow! I know ablations work for some, and not others. My surgeon told me he didn't recommend it for me. I am glad the nurse listened and got you in so quick. Sometimes it is frustrating, and hard to remember the nurses, scheduler, etc... are people. Appealing to their logic and compassion often helps.

Good luck.

Okay, I've HAD it!!

Good luck with your appointment and keep us posted. My doctor recommended me for a LSH when he discovered how large my uterus was because of the fibriod. He advise immediately not to wait. And from what I have read so far, it seems like he made the right decision for me.

Okay, I've HAD it!!

Good Luck, I go July 7 to find the results of all the Blood Work and Ultrasounds. I have an enlarged uterus and my Dr said likely from fibriods. I will be watching to see what happens with your appointment.
