I did a post last week for more concerns I was having, fears of infection etc. and am happy to report there were none. They did send the urine out for further analysis, doc is thinking I was right about passing a kidney stone in Dec. and just thought it was extreme menstral pain.
On a good note the doc said they didn't find any sugar in my sample, which was great because my last few gave signs of my becoming diabetic. The lbs. I've lost in the past few months and the exercise is really paying off.
When I had my ultrasound the tech mention seeing fibroids, but my doc never mentioned anything much about it. She was more concerned with the extensive adeno. I found out yesterday that what the tech saw is a large area of submucosal fibroids in between the inner and outer lining of the uterus. Its just another sign that this surgery is in my best interest.
Doc said it wasn't uncommon for patients with upcoming surgeries to be more aware of their pain and any changes they are feeling, it made me feel better that I wasn't totally wasting their time with unnecessary testing. She said she could feel that my bladder is distorted due to pressure from the lg. uterus, and assured me that I will feel so much better to get all this resolved.

AMEN TO THAT!!!
Thanks for being here ladies, love you all

Hi Donna!
I'm so glad you got answers. I understand how not knowing can be stressful. I was worried that they wouldn't find anything. Crazy I know, but you get to thinking too much pre-op. lol
I had/have endo as well and patholgy report and my Dr. said it was very extensive.
I have been pain free since my surgery (lavh) and I feel really good. It was the best decision for me as well.
I wish you a good surgery and uneventful recovery.
All the Best,
Laurie

It must feel great to get some answers, as the other (((sister))) posted. And what great news to find out there was no sugar in the sample!

I am 100% with you -- once my surgery was scheduled, I became keenly aware of each and every twinge. Hopefully with this testing behind you, you'll be able to relax a bit.

to you as you continue on your journey.
