Prep Time

Well this morning did not go well. Had to do the wonderful prep & it only stayed down for 1 hour. Ended up vomiting (don't mean to ge graphic) while cleaning that up then the prep started working. I started to cry which turned into laughter. Only me, I doubt it but I hope all of my sisters out there that are going through this today, try to laugh at something. I felt so much better.

I promised myself that I will continue to be kind to myself today - no matter what happens!! Being on this site has helped me so much more than I thought it would. "you don't always get what you want but you always get what you need" I need all of you and your experience to continue to help me get through this surgery (TAH). You are all 's sent to help.

Saturday was a rough day but yesterday I spent the day with family and friends. The best medicine in the world. We laughed all day. The doctors could not have prescribed a better medication.

To all my sisters out there today having surgery you are in my prayers and I hope you have a quick recovery.

Hi Cathy
I know about now that it is all becoming more real! I had a TVH,BSO,A&P repair, & TVT on June 5. I hope you have as good an experience as I did. The doctors & nurses were great and everything went really well. My doctor being there to answer all my questions really helped. I didn't have an incision so I didn't have to go through that. I have been really tired, but I am taking it easy as they all tell us. The main thing is to be good to ourselves.
I wish you the best tomorrow and hope your recovery goes well.

A very wise teacher once told me, "Laughter is the best medicine." Best wishes for a speedy recovery and keep laughing.

Best Wishes! I'm so glad you were able to keep your sense of humor with things coming out both ends! Bless your heart! You must be one of those people who starts to giggle and can't stop. I'm not sure I could have turned my frown upside down! Good for you for doing just that!!! See you on the other side! Can't wait to hear you are doing well!

Cathy,

I hear you sister...I just got cleaned up myself, so don't feel so alone. However I didn't laugh until I read your post. I wish I could have laughed at the time, but for me I was angry because I had just gotten the bathroom all cleaned up and then I got sick, at both ends. However, I guess I should take it all in stride, by this time tomorrow I will be free of the plumbing that is dragging me down!

I'm so sorry my "castle sisters". I was fortunate not to have to do the prep, but I do sympathize with you.

It will all be worth it in the end!

More than likely that will be me on Thurs. I gag and vomit on cough syrup. I have no clue how to do this without it coming out both ways. UGH!

One of the best things to do is to put it in the fridge overnight... it's a little more tollerable if it's cold... you can always add crystal light lemonade to it too! That's what I've done in the past.... oh, that reminds me... need to go put it in the fridge for tomorrow Yeah
