Island Scribe doing well ... computer sick

Hi everyone,

I returned home from the castle Thursday, March 3, following a TAH/vertical incision Feb. 28.

My computer returned home from the repair shop this evening.

So my reporting back to the board has been delayed.

The surgery went well and turned out to be more essential than originally anticipated. (I had posted earlier about my relatively minor symptoms...) since my uterus was actually half-again as large as suggested by the ultrasound.

Instead of having a five-month uterus, I was apparantly well into the six month range, or slightly less than basketball size.

My left ovary had been damaged by the fibroid/uterus growth so it was removed but the right ovary was healthy and was retained.

Although I had been booked for four nights in hospital, I was released a day early. So far, I've had an uneventful and surprisingly fast recovery. At present, I'm controlling pain with Tylenol.

I will probably post more later and draft a princess story for posting in the princess story section.

And yes, I am resting and drinking water (sometimes mixed with prune juice) and walking etc.

LiW... as everyone tells you ... the waiting IS the worst part!!!

Keep well,
IslandScribe
