horrible pain in lower left ab......

I had a TAH in March of '05', & recently I began having horrible , sharp, cramping like pains in my left side. They did a c-t scan & saw nothing, just said that It is probably just scar tisssue on the inside that they can't see, therefore causing the mysterious pain. Well, it still hurts, & why would my inner incision just suddenly start hurting? It's only getting worse. Anyone else have this or have any ideas?

So sorry you're experiencing this pain. Don't have any solutions, and you're keeping in touch with your doctor, so I'll just send my prayers for it to GO AWAY!!

Only guessing, but I'm post-op about 2.5 weeks and my horrible pain on my left side was excruciating and I thought something terrible was wrong. I skipped my stool softener only one day and the pain was unbelievable. I also have history of irritable bowel syndrome. Your colon is on the left side. Could be scar tissue affecting your bowel somehow? Those are my thoughts. Calling your doctor might be a good idea at this point. I know how miserable it feels to have pain there. My thoughts are with you. Katherine
