3 Days post-op, LSH surgery...

I go to see my doctor for a check up on May 12th...he said I will be able to drive...that's in 5 more days. Is that normal? I feel fine..but I hope I can do it..I'm an hour away from the dcotor.

If you are an hour away that might be too much. I was told I could drive 1 week from my surgery and when I drove myself to my 1 week appt. My Dr was only 15 min away. The drive there and back was all I could do. I had other things to do in town but I just came home and laid down. Take it easy, they tell us we can do things but trust me we can't or at least I couldn't and I think many other sisters will say the same thing.

I agree with Cjgtdg. One hour might be long. I was driven an hour to my 1st post-op appointment at one week for my LSH - with my mom at the wheel - and that was a bit of an energy zapper for me. Also, my Dr. told me I was not to drive for the first 2 weeks in post-op since I was on prescription meds.

Possilby someone can take you to your appointment as an alternative??
