Oops big mistake kid mentioned

I had a vaginal hysterectomy on dec 26th. Iwad just told this week that I still could not pick any thing up that is to heavy. Well my four year about 40 lbs feel asleep on the couch and I picked him up and took him down stairs to bed. As soon as I put him down I was in a lot of pain. I have no bleeding but hard to tell since the meds I'm on make my urine orange and have been leaking from my bladder. I have been using a heating pad for the pain. I should be fine as long as I don't bleed right????

I would call and ask...you could have something internal going on. call and see what the doc says. better safe than back in surgery later!

Best to err on the side of caution and call your to let them know what happened and what your symptoms are so they can advise.

Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

Re: Oops big mistake kid mentioned

I picked up my daughter at the 1.5 week mark. I cringed after cause I felt stupid.

When I told the doctor he shrugged and asked how I felt. He said it had been almost 2 weeks and just to ease into lifting next time. There wasn't any damage and he wasn't concerned.

Just got back from the doctors everything is fine regarding the picking up my son. They do think I have a whole in my bladder from my surgery but not from my son. Thanks everyone
