Eating

Every time I eat I feel like crap. Even if it is just yogurt. My stomach starts to cramp as soon as food hits it. I am 7 days post-op. Just wondering if anybody else experienced this. It's getting to the point I am afraid to eat!

I've had a lot of that and have just been eating little bits of whatever seems good at the moment. Fruit seems to work best.

the first 2 weeks I came home from the hospital I also had problems eating. I really was eating half of what I usually ate. I tried to drink alot of chocolate milk because at least I felt I was getting calcium. As I started to recover and feel more like myself (This Week ) I started to eat more like I did pre-surgery.

I had a hard time eating anything other than an occasional 1/2 slice of toast for the first two weeks. Now at week three I am able to eat small amounts of normal meals without negative consequences. I am taking one day at a time.

Hi there, I know exactly what you mean..I am 4 weeks post TAH and what ever I eat i feel horrible and then get bad bloating, if I don't eat anything it is fine ! I am hoping this is something that gets better with time ! Cheers Fi )
