Re: Uncontrolled Pain?

I took an ambien and slept last night. This morning I called my family doctor. He spent more than an hour with me - a lot of time poking and prodding inside and out (compared to the gynecologist who took a 30 second peek inside). He is pretty sure the pain is associated with the surgery - but is also ordering a colonoscopy. He said he does not believe in withdrawing pain meds when someone is still in pain - and wrote me a prescription for the pain med I was on! He said to go back to the gynecologist next week (she had told me not to come for four weeks).

I have the MOST wonderful family doctor in the world!!!! He stayed with me an hour past his closing time. I apologized to the nurse and she said "our closing time is when we are finished with the last patient".
