17 days post op ~ RATH ~ Lots of Pain

I am on day #17 of my DaVinci hysterectomy and RSO recovery. The docs ran into a lot of scar tissue and endometriosis. I ended up needing a blood transfusion (even though this surgery supposedly has far less bleeding!) during my 1 week hospital stay.

Anyhow, I am still in significant pain by the afternoon and almost unbearable by the evening. I am tired of taking pain meds, but they seem to be the only thing that help. . . The pain is in my low belly with sharp shooting pains on either side. I also get VERY intense pain where they created the vaginal cuff and still dealing with a lot of nausea despite the scopolamine patch and reglan x4/day (have tried zophran, ativan, phenergan with no luck).

Is anybody else experiencing this? Should I be concerned that it is taking SO long?

Thank you!

Re: 17 days post op ~ RATH ~ Lots of Pain

I am so sorry to hear how you are suffering! I had mine on 3/18 and had no nausea - because of the scopolamine patch ( which I took off this morning). I don't hurt that badly but it does get worse in the late afternoon. I would call your Dr. So they can figure out something more to help you. But remember is different. Hugs to you. Feel better soon.
