Re: I have a confession to make

Work is very stressful, and after about an hour I am ready for a nap.

Re: I have a confession to make

I went to Target today! It is so strange how pushing a shopping cart can give me pain, but nothing else does. I was very slow with my shopping and spent waaaaay to much money. Towards the end of my shopping adventure, i looked in the cart and thought "how am I going to get all of this in the car?"! Being at the checkout counter gave me a little rest and then I was on my way to my car. I got everything in the trunk and got in the front seat...it had never felt so good to sit down. I had a really good parking spot so a few people were waiting for me to back out, but there was no way I was going to move! I think I sat there for 20 minutes and then went to pick up my daughter. Right now I am utterly exhausted & looking forward to staying in tomorrow!

Oh, and by the way....I wore my grey sweatpants! Baahaaahaa .

Re: I have a confession to make

I have been wearing pajamas since surgery. The couple of times I have left the house I wore an empire waisted dress. Mainly I have only been out to have blood work done or to go to my parent's house for dinner. I did make a trip grocery shopping to Trader Joes 2 days ago and was absolutely exhausted after.

BUTTERCREAM
Curious to know if your Target trip set you back any today? I have been afraid to go anywhere because I've read how others regretted it later! Do tell!!

Re: I have a confession to make

Now I know why I have been living in PJS like my sisters and sweat pants being my second choice. Went to get dressed to go for kidney U/S today and nothing fits. Thought I dodged the swelly belly as I am already quite proficient in that area. OMG! I have what my teens commonly refer to as a B>I>F....translated loosely means a BUT IN FRONT! YIKES!!!

Re: I have a confession to make

You should have picked up a couple more pairs of comfortable sweats while you were at target! In cheerful colors!

I cycled through 3 pairs of sweats and one pair of pj's for the first 5 weeks. I had one pair of slacks that was roomy enough for my swelly belly, and I would wear them to go out of the house. I'm back at work this week (I'm 6 weeks post-op today), and some of my other slacks do fit okay, but feel uncomfortably tight across the lower belly as the day progresses. As soon as I get home, I pull off my bra, shed my other outer clothes, and am back into my comfy sweats!

Re: I have a confession to make

I read enough posts on hystersisters post op to be fully prepared for the swelly belly. I also had a lap 8 weeks before hyster, plus my adenomyosis had me swollen like a 7 month pregnant lady for the past year. I've only had on jeans about 4 times in the past year!! I'm well stocked on the stretch pants, thanks god!
