Blood stone

Greetings Ladies
Any one hear about or use a Blood Stone? I am very anemic and iron supplements are killing my stomach!
I was told to get this rock called a blood stone. It had iron ore in it and its gets absorbed by your body when you hold it. You can evidently even get a metallic taste in your mouth. It was reccomended to me by a Naturapath doc (ND). thanks and speedy recovery to all

Re: Blood stone

I've heard of people using cast iron skillets to increase their iron - so, maybe. sorry I couldn't really help. just mentioning. Iron can do a number on the gut and I've heard that it interferes with absorption of other minerals (JUST HEARD -I"M NOT A DOC OR NURSE). so maybe some other way than orally is the way to go. is there any chance of it hurting you somehow?
