fatigue

Hi,

I mam 3 weeks post-op and I am so fatigued. I am wondering if it is related to hormones or lack of or if I am tired from surgery..anyone else wiped out?

Re: fatigue

Fatigue is a common symptom. You are still early in recovery from a major surgery. It can take the body time to recover. For me, fatigue was an issue for quite some time. Listen to your body and rest as needed.

Re: fatigue

make sure you are getting enough fluids and food in, I need a LOT more protein than I was eating previously. You also need to rest a lot. At 3 weeks post op, I was still staying at a friends house where her husband cooked lots of food.

I wasn't doing much I was mainly eating, walking, kind of watching some tv with them, and falling asleep off and on throughout the day. I am usually a very active person so it seemed very weird to me.

Re: fatigue

I'll be five weeks out on Monday, and I still have fatigue. It does get better, or so I've been told.

Re: fatigue

Hi,
I am 3 months out as of Tuesday the 21st and I still get days where I feel like somebody pulled my plug.
I have to say I have a lot of good days ( I still have brain fog that suprises me . I guess my mind got lost in a fog and forgot the way home) I can say for myself I am at the post op point that it feels like I had nothing done at all but, the fatigue is still an issue on the occasion .
Feel better and take good care
Best wishes,

Patty
