what happens if I don't have a hysterectomy

I have fibroids, and a polyp in my uterus, and a mass on my right ovary, which my Dr thinks is a endometrium. What will happen if I don't get a hysterectomy?

Re: what happens if I don't have a hysterectomy

I have moved your thread here to one of our forums so you can receive some personal replies.

We can't really say for sure what would happen if you do not get a hysterectomy. It would depend on the symptoms the fibroid, polyp, and endometrioma are causing. However, there are treatment options for each of those conditions without having a hysterectomy, so you should have some options besides a hysterectomy.

Have you had a second opinion about what would be best for you? That is what I would suggest. I would also recommend that you learn more about your diagnoses and keep a detailed symptom diary which you then share with your medical team. To learn more, you can start by reading through some of our Options for Hysterectomy articles.

If you have more questions, please feel free to post them!
