Re: Why does this have to be one long road?!?
So sorry! I did have two separate surgeries. The first was a VH with repairs and bladder sling, the second six weeks later (was supposed to be two weeks later, postponed because of infection) was a ABSO with repairs. Did the two surgeries because of all the repairs. Hindsight, I wish I would have done it all in one abdominal surgery. It was very difficult to do the second surgery as I was healed and feeling great from the first surgery. But I had to do the second surgery to finish the work. It all went well, recovery better than the first surgery but recovery was longer because it was supposed to be DvH, but ended up being abdominal.
I don't know how they will do your second surgery-vaginally? If so, it will be much easier than your original TAH. I hope it will be for you. Get it done and over with so you can get on with your life and feel well and do great! I am feeling wonderful, and have no regrets.
Sending you prayers, and hoping all goes well for you! Keep us posted!

It is a real pain to have to recover from yet another surgery. A lot of times it can be easier especially if you are doing well. Sending hugs for a quick recovery
