What an experience. I have made it to the other side and have so far had a wonderful experience. I had a supracervical Abdominal Hyster with BSO on Tuesday the 6th. I was so full of peace that I breezed through everything. When they gave me the meds to somewhat put me out, I guess I put on quite a show of giggling and silliness. I wanted to not only kiss my DH but anyone else that was around and proceeded to tell everyone goodbye in a sing songy silly way all the way down the hall. My nurses were kind and quick to respond. I took in some Cremesavers for them to share and it totally shocked them that a patient would do that.
I am a morning person and have most my energy in the am. When I came home yesterday, I had walked the halls, said goodbye to nurses and a room mate that had been moved out of my room and showered. By the time I got home, I went to bed and slept for three hours.
I am sore, but not real swollen. I think I lost weight. The doctor had me on a liquid diet the whole time so today is the first time I had some eggs and toast. My last real meal was monday evening. My family is doing great and the kids are eager to help. They tuck me into bed now.
Well, I must get back to my chair and put my feet up. I am still waiting for the big gas explosion.
So far, I feel the bubbles but they don't want to come out below.
Thanks for all the support and friendships I've made.
