Tight Pants Question

OK, Im now 4 weeks post op but started wearing my tight jeans 3 weeks post op. I have to ask but are tight pants OK? I never heard that they werent and Im in trouble if they arent. Ive been wearing all kinds of supportive panties and such to get my bulging belly back where it was before I started this journey.

Tight Pants Question

I don't know if you would actually hurt anything but I would think it would be painful. I wore jeans for about 3 hours one day last week and couldn't wait to get them off!

Tight Pants Question

Congratulations on being able to wear tight pants. I don't know how honestly you are doing it? I was trying to find pants big enough for my swelly For me it was painful to have anything too tight, even the belly band had to be postioned just right. I guess if it's not uncomfortable for you it would be ok, but on the other hand, if everything is trying to get repostioned, bowels, intestins, etc, they may need the room that tight pants would hinder. I wish I had the answer, but cudoos to you for being able to handle them. Best wishes for a speedy recovery s.

Tight Pants Question

I started wearing my jeans the first week post-op. I have to tell you by the end of the day the I had to undo the top button and kind of unzipped. I would wear a long blouse over it. Sometimes I would forget and answer the front door, and there I am standing there with my pants half zipped up! My daughter and her friends are used to me and my husband thinks its sexy. I was comfortable anyway and kept me from overeating. I tend to pig out with loose pants.

Tight Pants Question

Not me I would have worn my old maternity pants if I still had them. I couldn't stand anything tight near my incision. I still can't. That is almost three years now.

Tight Pants Question

I still have some light pain in my abdomin but I put on my favorite jeans. What is happening now is that I seem to be hungry all the time and feel like I'm gaining back the little weight I lot after the surgery. It has been 7 weeks now and I'm getting really worried about this. Is this happening to anyone else?

I'm still in my track pants - had to go one size bigger too - can't zip up any of my jeans.
Yes, my appetite is back!!! I too am worried that I'll gain the weight especially without too much exercise. I printed out the exercises on from this site to help me belly - to be done of course with your DR approval and at around 5-6 post-op. I'm hoping this will help my swelly belly.

Tight Pants Question

I'm still wearing my one pair of loose pants when I go out. Last Sunday, while at a restaurant, I started experiencing this very strange cold sensation creeping up my right rear side. I thought, oh no, a new development in my recovery. When I dared to move, I discovered that my water bottle had leaked and was soaking my one and only faithful outdoor pants!

Tip: Use a maxi-pad underneath your clothes as a bumper for you incision. It provides a sense of secuity and is a great way to use up those unneeded pads

Tight Pants Question

Hi,
The pad idea is a great one! I wore a pair of jeans around 1.5 weeks post op and I had to use the rubberband trick like in first trimesters. It worked, but it was very uncomfortable around my incision when I walked, but as soon as I sat down, the pressure was off the incision, so I was just fine. I will have to try the pad idea, as I have quite a few to use up

HysterBoo, you are so funny! I know that experience of thinking everything is due to the surgery or post mena. That idea of the pad is great!
