Is sex a few days before surgery a no no?

Unless your doctor says otherwise, I don't see why you can't. Plus it will be a while since you'll be recovering. So why not get it in now. No pun intended, well maybe

I've been bleeding for a month now and was given pills to help stop the bleeding. I hope I can get it in before my surgery lol.

Unless otherwise restricted by your doctor, it should be just fine.

My doctor said I could have sex up till the morning of.

Before surgery is fine, unless restricted by your doctor. BUT after surgery, you are usually restricted from having sex for 6 weeks, sometimes more. It is very important that you follow this, because you need to give time for everything to heal inside. You can really cause some damage if you don't follow this restriction.

Also, don't be embarrassed to ask your doctor questions about your health and this surgery. They are expecting questions and will gladly answer them for you. They would rather you ask than not!

We did less than 12hrs before surgery.
No one said anything at the hospital.
