Sleeping Ovary

I had my TVH last Thurs. I was able to keep my one ovary. How long does it take before you start having symptoms due to a sleeping or "in shock" ovary? Does everyone who keeps their ovaries experience this?

I ovulated almost exactly two weeks following my TAH. I was quite surprised because I fully expected them to shut down for awhile - I know that's not unusual. I guess we're all different. I hope yours continues to work as well as mine has.

My doctor told me that "I'd know when my ovaries weren't working". He seems to think that it would be very obvious very quickly.

I'm crossing my fingers, so far, so good.
