Sex after surgery

I was told by my daughter last week at my 4 week check up to wait another 2 weeks before having sex. Monday will be 2 weeks, well me and dh got worked up this morning and gave it a try. At first I was scared but dh was gentle and took his time. Had no problems at all, no tightness or pain. There was a little blood on dh and I thought I would continue to bleed but I spotted for a little while. Now its just a little pink. I asked dh did it feel any different he said no. Now how I am going to feel tomorrow is a different story. Everyone is not the same, you might have problems and you might not. Enjoy

Relax. I had a very large glass of wine (only recommended if you aren't on meds). Take it slow and don't expect too much the first couple of times. I was pleasantly surprised when I had the big O for the first time after surgery. My doctor did recommend being "gentle" for a while. I guess if you are too vigorous you can actually injure the vaginal cuff's healing. Not trying to scare you, just trying to give you a heads up. I find sex much more enjoyable now. Just try to take it slow and relax, relax, relax!

Yes my first time after nearly 4 month hurt like the dickens. We haven't tried again... I have been busy and sick, but really also avoiding cause it wasn't fun. I know I should practice more and it would get better... But who wants to when it hurts! Shrugs!

Thank you all so much for your input. So all I need to do is get drunk enough not to feel.....lol....j/k. I have the wine and I do have some lubricant if need be. Now I just have to wait another week. Thanks again to all of you for putting my fears to rest.

I had a LAVH Jan 4th and for Valentines Day we "did" it... it was really just to see if it all still worked (so it wqas quite boring and mechanical and cautious)... we didn't get crazy or anything... but it all worked just fine... no problems, no pain (before hyster it hurt like crazy when he would hit the cervix)... no spotting afterwords.... all systems were a go.... never had a big O from intercourse.... but big O still works from external just like before.... life is good
